Hunan Plus Chinese Restaurant made it to our list for two reasons: First, it is the cheapest place anywhere in Houston to have lunch or dinner. And we mean an entire meal. A meal includes a bowl of soup (hot and sour or egg drop), an egg roll, fried rice and of course the main dish (i.e. beef pepper steak). The portions are huge and you would probably need a to go box. Secondly, most of us associate cheap food with low quality. This is a misnomer here at Hunan Plus. Their food tastes great. If you are ever go to Chinatown, this is one place to stop by and try. You will definitely be saving money for other more important things.
